TWO WAYS TO INSTALL
CHOOSE THE OPTION THAT WORKS FOR YOUR TABLE
Installing Lock & Load requires access beneath the cloth in the rack area. Depending on the condition of your cloth and your plans for the table, there are two ways to get it done.

Install with New Cloth
THE MOST ECONOMICAL OPTION
If you're already planning to replace your cloth, it's the ideal time to install Lock & Load.
The system can be installed after the existing cloth is removed and before the new cloth goes down, eliminating the additional labor required to pull back and re-stretch existing cloth. Lock & Load does not provide re-clothing services, so you'll simply coordinate your new cloth installation separately.
Best for: Tables that need new cloth now or in the near future.

Re-Glue Existing Cloth
NO NEW CLOTH REQUIRED
Not ready for new cloth? You don't have to wait.
Your existing cloth can be carefully pulled back to access the rack area. Once the Lock & Load system is installed, we'll stretch and re-glue the cloth as part of the installation. There is an additional charge for this service due to the extra labor involved.
Best for: Tables with cloth that's still in good condition.
HAVE A 9-FOOT TABLE? ADD A SECOND RACK POSITION.
Owners of 9-foot tables can add a second set of magnets, giving you the option to position the rack with either the 8-ball or 9-ball on the spot.

FAQs
DO THE MAGNETS AFFECT THE BALLS’ TRAVEL?
No. The magnets do not affect normal ball travel. The exception is Valley tables that still use a magnetic cue-ball separation system. In that situation, you'll need to switch to a non-magnetic cue ball and an open-table setup.
IF I RE-GLUE MY EXISTING CLOTH, WILL THE CURRENT HEAD-BALL DIVOT PREVENT A TIGHT RACK?
No. When the cloth is re-glued, it's stretched to pull the existing divot back into the rack area so it doesn't interfere with achieving a tight rack.
HOW ARE THE MAGNETS INSTALLED IN THE TABLE?
We drill an 11/32-inch-diameter hole approximately 5/16 inch deep. Each 5/16-inch-diameter by 1/4-inch-deep magnet is embedded and surrounded with 4,000 PSI epoxy.
Once the epoxy has cured, the excess is removed and the playing surface is restored to a perfectly flat condition.
WILL LOCK & LOAD CONTINUE TO PROVIDE TIGHT RACKS OVER TIME?
Yes. Because the rack returns to exactly the same position every time, normal play actually works in the system's favor.
As the head ball is repeatedly impacted during the break, the natural cloth divot begins to form within the correctly positioned rack area—helping maintain a consistent, tight rack.
WILL THE MAGNETS LOSE THEIR STRENGTH?
The rare-earth magnets are designed to maintain their magnetic strength and provide reliable performance for the life of the table.
IS THERE A WARRANTY?
Yes. The magnet installation is warranted to be free from defects for the life of the table.
